The story

It started in a garage.

Detail Tech started with Dan detailing out of his garage in 2022. It was a side thing at first, but the work kept coming and the quality got noticed, and before long it outgrew the space and moved into a proper shop.

Around the same time, Kevin was traveling the country wrapping fleet vehicles and commercial graphics. He and Dan met at the gym, struck a deal, and started sharing a shop. They kept handing each other work, referring customers back and forth, and eventually started offering PPF together. It worked so well that staying separate stopped making sense, so they merged the two businesses into one. Today that's grown into a full shop and a team that keeps the same standard on every job.

Today Detail Tech runs PPF, vinyl wraps and fleet graphics, window tint, ceramic coating, paint correction, and detailing, for daily drivers, exotics, and commercial and marine vehicles, all under one roof in Crystal Lake, with mobile detailing that comes to you.

The detailing and protection side. Dan started the shop out of his garage in 2022 and built the reputation for careful, high-quality work that Detail Tech runs on today.

Kevin patiently, thoroughly, and clearly reviewed the protection options for our new vehicle in a no pressure manner. We opted for full vehicle application of PPF followed by ceramic coating and an interior protection application. Our specific requests, including a delayed pick up, were accommodated. When we picked up the vehicle yesterday, it looked amazing! We are extremely happy with our decision and definitely feel it was money well spent. Additionally, it was nice to deal with a business that kept us updated, followed through on everything they said, and we didn't need to have anything redone.
